Kharibari, 07th November: A thief was caught red-handed stealing a battery from a tractor in the area of Kharibari’s Chayansingh Jote. Reportedly, the batteries from tractors were continuously being stolen. During one such event in the wee hours of Sunday night, the locals nabbed the thief in action, tied him and beat him up.
Shortly after receiving the news, the Kharibari police reached the spot this morning and arrested the thief. The local panchayat member of the area said that the thief was caught red-handed stealing a battery around two in the morning. Later they informed the Kharibari police after which he was taken into custody.
