Siliguri, 28th May: Sensation prevailed in the area following an incident of theft in broad daylight in which, miscreants indulged in theft, taking advantage of a vacant house, under Pradhan Nagar Police Station, Ward No. 45, street No. 13.
According to reports, an elderly woman named Tanushree Ghosh lives alone in a house in the said area while, her son and daughter live outside with regard to their work. Today, both the son and daughter took their mother for an outing. Later, when the elderly returned home, she was shattered as she discovered that the lock of the gate inside the house was broken and the household items scattered. Additionally, the wardrobe was also broken.
Subsequently, the matter was reported to Pradhan Nagar Police, who responded swiftly and reached the spot, and started a preliminary investigation.
