Siliguri, 07th February: A unique case of theft has surfaced in the Jalpai More area of Siliguri, where thieves stole car repair tools from a garage by cutting through its floor.
Garage owner Dilip Sahni said he was shocked when he opened his shop in the morning and discovered the theft. The thieves had entered the garage by cutting the floor near the table and made off with all the tools used for car repairs.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Siliguri police reached the spot and started an investigation. However, no written complaint had been lodged at the time of reporting.
Continuous incidents of theft in Siliguri and its surrounding areas have caused concern among traders. The garage owner sought CCTV footage from traffic police at Jalpai More, only to find that the camera was faulty. The increasing incidents of theft have left local traders feeling insecure.
