Theft at a house in Fulbari’s East Sipahipara, cash and ornaments worth lakhs missing

Fulbari, 02nd May: On Monday night, miscreants broke into a house under Fulbari no. 2 gram panchayat’s East Sipahipara, and fled with cash and ornaments worth lakhs. At the time of the incident, the owners were not present at home.


Reportedly, the owner, Anukul Saha has a fruit shop in the Fulbari market. On Monday night, upon reaching his house after closing his shop at around 10 pm, Anukul saw that the lock of his house door was broken. Further, upon entering, he saw that things were scattered and the cupboard was also broken, and jewelry worth about Rs 4 lakhs including Rs 20,000 cash missing.

Immediately, the owner reported the matter to NJP Police Station. Upon receiving the news, police reached the spot without delay and started preliminary investigation. In this regard, the owner said that his wife had gone to his in-law’s place in Siliguri, taking advantage of which, miscreants indulged in the theft.
