Cooch Behar, 12th June: A tense atmosphere unfolded at the Block No. 1 BDO office in Cooch Behar regarding the submission of nomination papers. The Trinamool Congress has been accused by the BJP of preventing their candidates from submitting their nominations, although the Trinamool has refuted these allegations.
According to the BJP, their candidates and supporters were en route to the BDO office from the Ghughumari area today for submission of nomination papers when they were stopped by the Trinamool Congress at Ghughumari Chowpathi. It is alleged that the BJP members were obstructed from submitting their nomination papers. The incident caused significant tension in the area, prompting a large police force to arrive and restore order. Eventually, with police intervention, the situation returned to normal. However, the Trinamool Congress has categorically denied all the allegations made by the BJP.
