Cooch Behar, 03rd November: A case of attacking the convoy of Union Minister of State for Home Nisith Pramanik while he was meeting the workers has come to light. Tension ensued regarding the incident. However, the Minister did not file any complaint in this regard.
Reportedly, Minister Nisith Pramanik was on his way to visit the house of BJP workers and supporters in the Sitai area today. He was allegedly shown a black flag as he entered the said area. After this BJP workers present with Pramanik ran towards the protesters and shortly after a dispute and scuffle broke out between the two sides.
Later the police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. Meanwhile, the TMC has denied all the allegations and claimed that it was the result of factionalism by the BJP.
