Temple theft case solved, Bhorer Alo police arrest two with stolen puja items

Rajganj, 31st January: Police of Bhorer Alo police station have recovered puja articles stolen from a temple and arrested two accused in connection with the theft.


According to police sources, the theft took place on the morning of 11th January at a temple located in the Paghalupara area of Sahudangi under the Binnaguri gram panchayat of Bhorer Alo police station jurisdiction. Several brass items used for worship were stolen from the temple.

Following the incident, Bhorer Alo police launched an investigation and succeeded in arresting two persons. The arrested accused have been identified as Bhasa Rajbanshi and Akash Roy, residents of Adarsh Pally and Bhola More areas respectively.


Police further stated that during interrogation while on remand, several stolen brass puja items along with a gas cylinder were recovered from the possession of the accused. Both arrested persons will be produced before the Jalpaiguri district court on Saturday.
