Naxalbari, 14th March: While plucking tea leaves at Bijoynagar Tea Estate in Naxalbari this evening, a labourer sustained injuries in a leopard attack. When the woman cried for help, the wild animal fled away from the spot.
Later, other workers of the garden rescued the injured woman and took her to the Primary Health Centre of the tea garden, where she was referred to the Naxalbari hospital. The injured has been identified as Meena Nayak (52). The plantation workers are in panic due to frequent leopard sightings in the area.
