Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary celebrated at Netaji Boys’ High School in Siliguri

Siliguri, 12th January: The 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated at Netaji Boys’ High School in Siliguri on Monday. The event began with the lighting of lamps and a floral tribute at the statue of Swami Vivekananda in the school premises.


The programme was attended by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, other dignitaries, school teachers, students, and members of the local community.

Discussions on Swami Vivekananda’s life and ideals highlighted the importance of spreading his teachings among the younger generation. The event also honoured individuals who have made notable contributions in various fields of society.
