Ahead of the upcoming assembly election Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Suvendu Adhikari’s father and Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Sisir Adhikari joined Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s election rally in Egra, on Sunday.
It is to be noted that, TMC MP Sisir Adhikari from Kanthi joined the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah at Egar rally. He addressed the public chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans.
Reportedly, speculation of Adhikari’s joining the BJP was high especially after his son Suvendu Adhikari left TMC and held the saffron flag. Sisir Adhikari stated that the way his family was driven out from TMC and will never be forgotten. He further said he and his family will fight against all political attacks and atrocities in Bengal and will support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah.
Sisir Adhikari while addressing media said that they will remove TMC from East Midnapore.
