SUCI (C) burns effigy of Prime Minister in Siliguri

Siliguri, 11th January: The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) burnt the effigy of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).


A ‘Path Sabha’ was organized by the SUCI (C) at Siliguri’s Court More, today, in which, the members of the SUCI (C) protested against NRC and CAA with placards in their hands. Slogans of ‘Go Back’ were also chanted against Prime Minister Narendra Modi who arrived at Kolkata, today, on a two-day visit.


Subsequently, the members of the SUCI (C) burnt the effigy of Prime Minister.
