Students in Siliguri express excitement and happiness as schools-colleges reopen after a long gap

Siliguri, 16th November: Schools and colleges reopened today after around a year and a half as the COVID-19 situation improved across the state significantly. The classes from standard 09 to 12 resumed in West Bengal from today following all COVID-19 measures and government guidelines.


In Siliguri, students expressed their excitement and happiness on returning to school after a long gap. They were spotted arriving at their respective schools before 10 am. Students were welcomed with chocolates and pens. Their temperature was checked and their hands were sanitized at the entrance of the school. Meanwhile, many were spotted attending classes in many colleges in the city including Siliguri College and Suryasen College. The teachers appreciated the initiative taken by the state government.
