Siliguri, 19th November: On Saturday morning, the NJP police were notified regarding an incident where a vehicle laden with about 33 tonnes of maize went missing. As per the truck owner Jabbar Ali Rose of Jotiakali Fulbari, he parked the truck in front of his house after loading the maize on Friday night. However, the vehicle was found to be missing the following morning.
Jabbar immediately lodged a complaint at NJP Police Station. Acting promptly, the cops looked for the truck and found it within a few hours in the Nawapara area. However, half of the maize loaded in the truck is missing. Also, no arrest has been made in this regard until now. Police are probing the entire matter.
