Siliguri, 28th June: In a significant achievement, Bhakti Nagar police station officers recovered a stolen bike and arrested the thief, identified as Shravan Sharma, within 24 hours.
The incident began on Thursday when a bike was reported stolen from the Bhakti Nagar police station area. The bike owner promptly lodged a complaint, prompting a swift investigation by the police.
Acting on a tip-off, Bhakti Nagar police apprehended Shravan Sharma. During intensive interrogation, Sharma revealed the location of the stolen bike, which was subsequently recovered by the police.
Shravan Sharma was arrested on charges of bike theft and presented before the Jalpaiguri court on Friday. The police continue to investigate the matter.
