Naxalbari, 10th December: On Sunday, the statue of eminent tribal leader Birsa Munda was unveiled in Naxalbari following a prolonged demand.
According to reports, the Sabhadhipati of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, Arun Ghosh unveiled the statue of the brave activist Birsa Munda in the tribal ground of Naxalbari followed by the national anthem.
Speaking in this regard, the Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh stated that despite the birth anniversary celebration held earlier, the statue was unveiled on this day in alignment with the demands of the people. He further added that the statues of renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore, Swami Vivekananda, sister Nivedita and Panchanan Barma will also be installed in the upcoming days.
