Naxalbari, 15th November: To commemorate the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, his statue was unveiled at Birsa Munda College, Naxalbari. Besides, a library was also inaugurated.
SMC administrator Goutam Deb, Principal of the College Dr Birendra Mridha, President of the Managing Committee Sujit Das, Vice-Chancellor of Burdwan University Dr Nimai Chandra Saha, Former Registrar of North Bengal University Dr Dilip Kumar Sarkar, Dr Debashish Dutta, Dr Subodh Hasda and others were present at the programme.
A two-day seminar has also been organized in the college along with cultural programmes.
