State government using fake voters to win elections: Sayantan Basu

Siliguri, 30th December: During the ‘Chai Pey Charcha’ programme in Fuleswari Bazar on Wednesday, BJP state general secretary Sayantan Basu alleged that the Trinamool Congress is trying to win the Assembly elections by using fake voters. However, he asserted that the TMC will not succeed in their plan.

He took a jibe at TMC and said that the state has suddenly seen an increase in the number of voters. Allegedly, the voter turnout is highest in the border areas of Bangladesh. These voters may have come from Bangladesh or created fake voter cards, he added.

He claimed that the state government will not succeed in their plan as BJP will visit every doorstep for voter card verification. Besides, 45 lakh youths of West Bengal who stay away from the state due to job purpose will be brought back to the state.
