Jalpaiguri, 25th January: Based on a tip-off, the Special Task Force launched operations at the Jalpaiguri-Haldibari national highway and seized cannabis worth lakhs. The vehicle driver has been arrested in the incident.
According to police sources, the cannabis was being smuggled from Agartala to Bihar. Upon searching the car at Haldibari More, a huge quantity of cannabis was found hidden in a secret chamber behind the vehicle.
