Siliguri, 30th September: The workers associated with the soil laboratory have been suffering from financial problems for the past eight months.
It has been learned that the contract workers of the soil laboratory of the state’s agriculture department have not renewed their contract ever since it expired in January 2020. As a result, they are deprived of work for long eight months.
They stated that around 133 families earn their living through this work. Hence, they are facing extreme difficulties and desperately sought help from the CM in this concern.
