Siliguri, 10th June: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) under its campaign against illegal constructions has demolished several illegal constructions in various parts of the city. In this regard, further action has been undertaken by the Municipal Corporation.
According to reports, today, a tin house and a shop built on government land in the area adjoining Fuleshwari River have been demolished in the presence of the police. Speaking in this regard, Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb said that, the corporation will not permit any illegal construction by occupying government land. Meanwhile, the individuals behind the illegal construction alleged that the house and shop were demolished without prior notice.
