Siliguri, 14th February: Taking a significant step towards strengthening the city’s sports infrastructure and future planning, the Siliguri Municipal Corporation organised a discussion meeting with various sports organizations at Ramkinkar Hall on Saturday.
Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, along with municipal officials and members of different sports organizations, were present at the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on the current activities, challenges and potential of sports organizations in the city. Representatives shared their experiences and suggestions. Deliberations also focused on improving the standard of sports, developing infrastructure and encouraging greater participation among the younger generation.
The municipal corporation stated that the administration will extend full support to strengthen the sports sector in the city. It was also informed that such discussion meetings will continue in the future.
