Siliguri, 08th December: The Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) achieved another significant milestone in its ongoing anti-encroachment campaign.
According to information, an unauthorized construction on a three-storey building was reportedly demolished under the directions of the High Court. The SMC sent multiple notices to the owner of the infrastructure. Subsequently, a complaint was filed in Jalpaiguri court after the owner of the residence failed to take the necessary course of action. Following this, the High Court issued an order to dismantle the unauthorized structure.
The SMC dismantled the illegal construction in the presence of NJP police based on a court order issued on Friday.
