Siliguri, 29th June: Siliguri Municipal Corporation (SMC) administrator Goutam Deb inaugurated a bio-mining project at the city’s dumping ground, on Tuesday. Deb inaugurated the project at a cost of 18 lakh rupees.
Goutam Deb said that as the population of the city is rapidly increasing, more amount of garbage is being collected. “If the garbage is not given an alternative form soon, it will create extreme trouble in the coming days. Therefore, such an initiative has been taken to give an alternative form to the accumulated garbage,” Deb added.
