Jalpaiguri, 14th August: The Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA) and the district administration held a meeting with the industrialists to set up agro-based industries at Sepahi Para in Jalpaiguri Sadar Block.
The meeting was held at the Jalpaiguri District Magistrate’s office on Friday. Several industrial groups and organizations were called to hold discussions regarding setting up of other industries including vegetable processing and training for tomato powder on ten acres of land in the aforementioned area.
Vijay Chandra Barman, Chairman of SJDA, stated that a survey has been done in this regard and only the tomato processing unit will not be of any help.
“We want processing units regarding varied subjects. Hence, we are looking for industrial enterprising people,” he added.
