Siliguri, 19th April: Before the upcoming Panchayat elections, the Fulbari-Dabgram area has received a significant upgrade with the construction of several new roads. Recently, the Chairman of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA), Saurabh Chakraborty, inaugurated five new roads in the Panchkolguri area of Fulbari Gram Panchayat-No. 1, located within the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency.
It has been reported that, despite the previous efforts of Goutam Deb, the former MLA of the area and current Siliguri Mayor, the roads in the Fulbari-Dabgram area had deteriorated over time. With the upcoming Panchayat elections in mind, the SJDA took swift action to address this issue by initiating the construction of new roads.
SJDA Chairman, Saurabh Chakraborty, laid the foundation stone for several roads in the area and recently inaugurated five new roads in the Panchkolguri area of Fulbari No.1 gram panchayat, located in the Dabgram-Fulbari constituency adjacent to Siliguri city. It is estimated that the cost of constructing these roads was approximately Rs 5 crores.
