Siliguri’s youth gets appointed for State Government job through the “Didi Ke Bolo” drive

Siliguri, 23rd February: With the help of “Didi Ke bolo” drive, Subhankar Sarkar, a resident of Champasari under Ward No. 46 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation was offered a government job on compensation grounds.


According to the information, Subhankar’s father, Sudhanshu Sarkar used to work in the Jaldapara Tourism Department before he passed away in the year 2015. After his death, the family faced a lot of difficulties due to poor financial conditions.

State Tourism Minister Goutam Deb stated that in August 2019, Subhankar had shared all his difficulties to the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee through a telephonic conversation under the ‘Didi Ke Bolo’ drive. After hearing his grievances, Subhankar was offered a job by the CM. Today, the appointment letter was handed over to him by Minister Deb at the Mainak Tourist Lodge.
