Siliguri’s Vivekananda Vidyalaya announces Diamond Jubilee year celebrations

Siliguri, 28th February: Siliguri’s Vivekananda Vidyalaya held a press conference on Saturday to mark the commencement of its Diamond Jubilee year. The school management called the meeting to inform alumni and the public about the special year-long celebrations.


According to school sources, the Diamond Jubilee year will officially begin on 11th March with a grand procession covering the city’s main roads and concluding at the school campus. The parade will feature tableaux on various themes, along with cultural performances.

The school administration outlined a year-long schedule of events, including social service initiatives, sports competitions, tree plantation drives, blood donation camps, and other activities. The celebrations will conclude in February 2027 with a two-day cultural festival.


Present at the press conference were the school management committee chairman, Biswajit Roy, acting principal Mohitosh Das, and other teachers. The school has also announced a special alumni meeting on 7th March and invited all former students to participate.
