Siliguri, 03rd March: The Chandmuni Temple of Siliguri has been preparing for the upcoming Mahashivratri celebrations in full swing as the temple is being decked up amid festive fervor.
According to reports, a traditional four-day fair will be held at Chandmuni Temple on the festival of Mahashivratri. Several fairs are held in North Bengal to commemorate the auspicious occasion of Shiv Chaturdashi. The Chandmuni Temple Fair in Siliguri is among North Bengal’s oldest fairs. Every year, many devotees from various corners of the country flock to the temple to visit and pray. The temple is also known as Siddha Peeth.
As per the temple priest Saroj Kumar Mishra, a multitude of devotees begin to assemble in the temple a day before Mahashivratri. Currently, the temple is undergoing further preparations for the festival. He stated that the ongoing road development would not cause any problems for devotees throughout the few days.
