Siliguri, 17th September: Young cricketer Aviraj Yadav from Siliguri and a student of Narayana Vidyalaya in Salugara has achieved a major milestone with his selection for the CBSE Under-14 regional cricket team. He will now participate in the CBSE National Under-14 Cricket Competition 2026-27.
The CBSE regional competition saw talented school-level players from West Bengal and the Guwahati region participate. As part of the selection process, Aviraj secured a place in the regional team.
Aviraj has been interested in cricket since childhood and regularly practises the sport. His focus on discipline and concentration during the game has helped him showcase his talent at a young age.
His cricket coach, Nandan, expressed happiness over Aviraj’s selection and said that his consistent hard work and practice had helped him achieve this milestone. He said that being selected for the national-level competition is an important opportunity for Aviraj to progress further.
Aviraj’s selection has brought happiness to his family, school teachers and fellow players. His parents are also delighted with the achievement.
Aviraj has started preparing for the national competition with the aim of performing well and bringing recognition to Siliguri and North Bengal.
