Siliguri, 31st December: Siliguri’s Ashram Para resident Ashok Sarkar has transformed the rooftop of his house into a colourful rose garden, featuring a variety of domestic and foreign rose species. The garden, adorned with blooms in red, yellow, pink, and other shades, has captivated neighbours and visitors alike.
Ashok Sarkar shared that each rose plant bears between 100 and 200 flowers. His rooftop garden is the result of years of love, dedication, and careful maintenance. Over time, he has removed other plants to focus solely on cultivating his favourite roses.
The garden not only enhances the beauty of his home but also contributes to a cleaner and more pleasant environment in the surrounding area. Neighbours and visitors frequently come to admire the garden, and many have been inspired to start their own rooftop gardens after seeing his work.
