Siliguri’s Arnav pursues unique passion, collecting old and new currencies for his ‘dream museum’

Siliguri, 10th May: 16-year-old youth from Siliguri has captivated everyone with his extraordinary dream. Arnav Banerjee, a commerce student and resident of Baghajatin under Ward No. 45 in Siliguri, has developed a passion for collecting old and new notes and coins from both India and abroad. Arnav aspires to establish a museum showcasing his extensive collection, leaving people astonished by his ambition.


Arnav’s father, Partho Banerjee, initially found his son’s dream perplexing, but he now wholeheartedly supports him in achieving it. Around four years ago, Arnav embarked on his journey of collecting notes and coins from various countries. Currently, his collection boasts approximately 75 pieces from India and abroad, including currencies from obscure nations that are yet to appear on the world map. Arnav has transformed his home into a small museum, but he envisions expanding it in the future to accommodate visitors eager to view his remarkable assortment.
