Siliguri, 01st September: The Siliguri Women’s police arrested a youth on the charge of molesting a minor in Samarnagar area under Pradhan Nagar police station. A case has been filed against the accused Raju Haque under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
Allegedly, Haque used to often bother the minor whenever she stepped out of her house. The matter escalated and Haque molested the minor yesterday. The victim informed her family members regarding the matter.
Later, the minor’s family lodged a complaint against the youth at Pradhan Nagar police station. Based on the complaint, the Women’s police nabbed the accused from the Samar Nagar area. The arrested accused was produced before the Siliguri court today.
