Siliguri, 23rd May: A young man has been arrested by the Siliguri Women Police Station on charges of engaging in physical relations with a young woman under a false identity and promising marriage. The arrested individual has been identified as Nazrul Hussain, a resident of Cooch Behar.
According to reports, about a year ago, Nazrul came to Siliguri from Cooch Behar in search of work. During his stay, he met a girl and introduced himself as Krishna Roy. Over time, the two fell in love. Nazrul promised to marry her, and they began living together. It is alleged that during this period, Nazrul engaged in physical relations with the girl.
After some time, Nazrul, alias Krishna, suddenly disappeared from Siliguri. The girl then went to Cooch Behar in search of him and discovered that her lover Krishna Roy was actually Nazrul Hussain and that he was married.
Upon learning the truth, the girl returned to Siliguri and on May 19, filed a written complaint against Nazrul at the Siliguri Women Police Station, accusing him of cheating and engaging in physical relations under the pretense of marriage.
Acting on the complaint, the Siliguri Women Police arrested Nazrul Hussain from Cooch Behar on Wednesday and brought him back to Siliguri. On Thursday, the police presented the accused in the Siliguri court.
