Siliguri Welfare Organization issues 9-point memorandum to District CMOH over COVID-19 treatment

Siliguri, 30th April: The Siliguri Welfare Organization has issued a 9-point memorandum to the district CMOH demanding an end to harassment over COVID-19 treatment.


Abhijit Majumder, the acting president of the organization, said that in the second phase, COVID has taken a terrible turn. The death rate is also going up. The patients and their families are facing problems in getting treatment. Patients are deprived of oxygen, medicines and black marketing is being carried out with necessary medicines. Besides, people are also facing harassment over vaccination. The patients are suffering due to the new government guidelines concerning the admission of coronavirus patients. He demanded the harassment should be stopped immediately by stopping all these complicated rules. A 9-point memorandum was also given to the district CMOH today including the formation of a safe home.
