Siliguri, 03rd February: Referring to the menace created by the drugs and gambling addiction in Siliguri’s Fuleswari area, Ward Councillor Shankar Ghosh stated that even school and college students intoxicated with alcohol are sighted in the said area. He further stated that the residents of the area are in a state of fear due to such incidents.
It to recall, on Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists submitted a memorandum to the ACP of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police to solve the drugs and gambling problem in the Fuleswari area of Ward No. 28. As per the reports, the ward has been infested by drugs and gambling addiction for a long time due to which the locals are facing a lot of difficulties. The locals alleged that despite reporting the matter to the police administration several times, no strict action has been taken yet.
