Siliguri, 15th September: An inter-school football tournament was organised at Kanchenjunga Stadium as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Siliguri Vivekananda Vidyalaya. The tournament was inaugurated by West Bengal Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh.
The school has planned various programmes throughout the year to mark its Diamond Jubilee. The celebrations include initiatives ranging from sports to different social activities, with the school authorities planning to organise one programme every month.
As part of these celebrations, the inter-school football tournament was held at Kanchenjunga Stadium. A total of 16 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams are participating in the three-day tournament.
The final matches of the competition will be held on Thursday.
The school authorities stated that several other programmes will also be organised in the coming days as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
