Siliguri, 10th May: The Siliguri Vidhan Sabha Yuva Congress Committee handed over a memorandum to Goutam Deb, administrator of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, demanding an end to patient harassment over medical treatment amid the pandemic.
It is to be noted, several reports of common people being harassed over medical treatment, facing trouble due to the unavailability of beds and huge hospital bills are surfacing daily. Black marketing of medicines and oxygen cylinders is also on the rise.
In this context, the Siliguri Vidhan Sabha Yuva Congress Committee issued a memorandum demanding administrative intervention on all these issues. The memorandum was handed over to Goutam Deb under the leadership of organization president Sayan Ghosh.
