Siliguri, 08th January: With the announcement of the municipal corporation election date, a series of twists and turns was witnessed in all political parties. Adding to the already intense battle, Trinamool Congress candidate Rajan Sarkar has been pitted against his mentor and Congress candidate Subin Bhowmik in the poll.
Today, during the campaign, Ranjan Sarkar reached the city’s Ward No. 15 and visited Bhowmik’s house. After meeting his mentor and his wife, the TMC leader wished good luck to his ‘old acquaintance’ further adding that he is getting a positive response from the public.
Meanwhile, Subin Bhowmik also extended his best wishes to the TMC leader for the upcoming elections. “Ranjan started politics by holding my hand. I hope the ward will vote for the right person,” he said.
