Siliguri, 21st May: On the occasion of International Tea Day, Siliguri too joined hands in the celebrations by serving tea to passerbys. Notably, Darjeeling tea is famous all over the world and there are numerous tea gardens at different places in the district, while, many are associated with the tea business.
Reportedly, arrangements were made by the Siliguri Tea Traders Association for serving tea to passerbys at Hashmi Chowk, Siliguri. Speaking in this regard, on behalf of the organization, Sanjay Tibrewal, stated that tea itself means Darjeeling. Additionally, he said that at present tea is very much associated with the Bengali culture, for which they initiated serving tea to the people on Tea Day.
