Siliguri, 01st March: BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya on Sunday morning took part in a ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ programme at a traditional tea stall in Bidhan Market. MLA Shankar Ghosh and MP Raju Bista were also present on the occasion.
Considerable enthusiasm was witnessed among BJP supporters over the event, which was organised to strengthen public outreach ahead of the elections.
During the programme, Bhattacharya said that Nitin Nabin would launch the party’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ from Cooch Behar today.
He claimed that the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress would not even be able to open its account in the upcoming polls.
He further alleged that as elections approach, nervousness within the Trinamool Congress over the SIR issue is increasing, while asserting that the common people are not facing any problems.
