Siliguri Ramakrishna Mission Land Grab Case: KGF group’s mastermind arrested; total arrests rise to 9

Siliguri, 01st June: In a recent development, police have arrested Alok Das, also known as Chottu, the mastermind behind the KGF Group, which attempted to capture the property of the Ramakrishna Mission in Siliguri. The Special Operations Group (SOG) and Bhakti Nagar police station apprehended Das from the Khola Chand Fapri area.


The incident traces back to May 19, when land mafias attempted to seize the Ramakrishna Mission’s land in Salugara, causing significant unrest and outrage.

In the aftermath, Bhakti Nagar police initially arrested five suspects approximately four days later. This was followed by the arrest of three additional suspects. Through subsequent interrogations, the police identified and captured the mastermind, Alok Das, on Friday night.


To date, nine (9) individuals have been detained in connection with the Ramakrishna Mission land grab case. However, the primary accused, Pradip Roy, remains at large.
