Siliguri, 28th December: The eighth Siliguri Pride Walk was organised in Siliguri on Sunday. Members of the LGBTQ+ community highlighted their identity and rights through colourful flags, placards and slogans.
The Pride Walk began from Mahatma Gandhi More in Siliguri and proceeded along Hill Cart Road before concluding at Baghajatin Park.
After the walk, awareness programmes were organised at Baghajatin Park. Participants raised demands for the right to adopt children, legal recognition of same-sex marriage, and equal rights in society.
