Siliguri police returned 108 stolen and snatched mobile phones to rightful owners

Siliguri, 29th April: Siliguri Metropolitan Police have successfully recovered and returned 108 mobile phones that were stolen and snatched from various police station areas.


According to reports, incidents of mobile phone theft and snatching had been increasing in Bagdogra, Matigara, Bhakti Nagar, and Siliguri police station areas for the last 3 months. Several people had lodged complaints with the police regarding these incidents. As a result, the police launched an investigation to restore public confidence.

During the investigation, Bagdogra, Matigara, Bhakti Nagar, and Siliguri police stations recovered about 108 mobile phones. The phones were subsequently returned to their rightful owners, much to the delight of the hundreds of people who had reported them stolen or missing.
