Siliguri Police Commissioner Syed Waquar Raza inspects Bhorer Alo police station ahead of elections

Rajganj, 22nd March: Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Siliguri Police Commissioner Syed Waquar Raza has commenced a series of inspections across various police stations within the Siliguri Police Commissionerate to review security and administrative preparedness. As part of this initiative, the Police Commissioner inspected the Bhorer Alo Police Station on Sunday.


During his visit, he interacted with the Officer-in-Charge, Sudip Dutta and other police personnel, and toured the various departments within the station premises. After assessing the preparedness, Raza issued necessary directives to ensure smooth functioning and effective security arrangements.

Speaking after the inspection, he said that all guidelines issued by the Election Commission are being strictly followed. He emphasized that the primary responsibility of the police is to ensure that voters can exercise their democratic rights without fear, adding that strict vigilance is being maintained to prevent any form of intimidation.


Additionally, he stated that special security arrangements have been made for the upcoming Ram Navami festival. To prevent any untoward incidents, additional police forces will be deployed and surveillance will be intensified across sensitive areas.
