Siliguri, 02nd October: Siliguri Municipal Corporation Administrator R. Vimala inspected various parts of the city on Friday to review the quality of ongoing road, drainage and other development works ahead of Puja.
From Friday morning, Vimala visited several wards and inspected development projects on the ground. During the inspection, she reviewed the quality of ongoing road works as well as drain construction and renovation projects.
She also discussed the quality of the work and the need to complete the projects within the specified timeline with the concerned officials.
Vimala also inspected ongoing underground cabling work in different parts of the city. She placed particular emphasis on ensuring that ongoing road works do not cause inconvenience to commuters ahead of Puja.
The electricity supply department has been instructed not to dig up any new roads ahead of Puja. Officials from the concerned departments were also active across different parts of the city during the administrator’s inspection.
