Siliguri, 29th April: Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh received death threats on social media, prompting him to lodge a written complaint at Siliguri police station. The incident allegedly occurred after the MLA posted a tweet from his Twitter handle about the Kaliaganj incident, and a young man threatened him with arrest and murder.
Accompanied by other MLAs, Shankar Ghosh met with the IC and made a written complaint, stating that the person who made the threat had also made several posts in support of Trinamool. The case is currently under investigation by the police.
