Siliguri, 12th December: Due to financial constraints, various development works of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation have stopped. For this, Mayor Goutam Deb has sought help from SJDA of North Bengal Development Department. Today the Mayor held a meeting with Udayan Guha, Cabinet Minister for Department of North Bengal Development of the West Bengal Government.
At the end of the meeting, the mayor said that this year the city was inundated during the rainy season and several actions are required to solve the problem. He added that all those works were discussed with the minister. The Mayor said that he is hopeful Minister Udayan Guha will take the necessary steps.
