Siliguri, 19th June: Gautam Deb, Mayor of Siliguri and Chairman of the Patient Welfare Association, visited the injured victims of the Rangapani train accident at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH) on Wednesday.
Reportedly, during his visit, Mayor Deb met with the accident victims and inquired about their health and recovery. He stated that efforts will be made to assist patients from distant places by providing train tickets for them and their families once they recover. For those without family support, arrangements will be made to ensure their safe return home.
NBMCH Superintendent Sanjay Mallick reported that 30 people are currently hospitalized, with three in critical care. All patients are receiving necessary treatment.
