Siliguri, 04th June: A woman and her child from Siliguri Shaktigarh area were admitted to the Matigara COVID Hospital after contracting the novel coronavirus. The locals alleged that their family members, instead of staying in home quarantine are roaming around in the locality.
Following this, the NJP police and a doctor from the health department visited their house, this afternoon. After conducting thermal screening of the family members, the doctor asked them to get their swab test done. However, a member of the family disagreed for the test and allegedly misbehaved with the doctor and the police officials.
In this context, the locals alleged that although two members of the same family have tested positive, the other members are frequently spotted stepping out of the house. Even though they have been assured that all essential items will be delivered at their doorstep, they are continuously breaching the quarantine protocols and are misbehaving with everyone.
