Siliguri, 15th August: India is celebrating its 75 years of Independence with great pomp under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ was visible throughout the city and the nation. The national flag was seen hoisted in every government office, shop, house, and building. The city was seen fully immersed with the colours of patriotism. From cars to every nook and corner the city of Siliguri was seen colored and united with nationalism.
In regard to the special occasion, patriotic programs and events are being held all around the city and the nation. Likewise, today in Sub-Divisional Office, Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Singh celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the national flag. She paid homage to the brave martyrs of the country and also congratulated the citizens on the 75 years of independence.
